Fountain Valley mom and son busted with 30 kilos of pot
Friday, February 12, 2010
A Fountain Valley woman and her adult son were arrested Wednesday near Lincoln, Neb., after police found 66 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle, Nebraska officials said.
Cynthia F. Bruckner, 62, and Scot A. Christensen, 42, both of Fountain Valley, are being held in the Lancaster County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, according to a press release from the Nebraska State Patrol.
Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a Nebraska state trooper stopped a black 2010 Chevy Suburban on I-80 near Lincoln for failure to signal. A drug-sniffing dog indicated there were drugs in the rear of the vehicle, and a subsequent search found three large plastic cases containing the marijuana, according to police. Officers took Bruckner and Christensen into custody.
